We have been trying to jump the chasm between our sinful selves and a holy and perfect God since shortly after the creation of man.  Over those thousands of years, we have used religion, fame, money, power, philosophy, good works, good morals and a host of other things in order to try to bridge that gap in our own human power.  Going to church every week, making God in our own image, having our good deeds outweigh our bad ones, being a "moral" person, and giving to the church or to the poor are some ways that we try to bridge the chasm, but it is impossible!  The space across is just too far for anyone to cross by their own works!  

Riis Christensen has frequently lamented that he didn't clearly hear the Gospel until he was 43 years old, despite years of church attendance and even reading the Bible from cover to cover.  He first saw the Roman Road come alive in a bridge illustration 15 years ago.  He and his wife Michele were taken aback with the power, simplicity, clarity and audience engagement of this Gospel presentation versus other tools that they had seen and used in ministry. They ultimately built a bridge illustration in 2018 while they were missionaries living in Haiti.  During numerous live presentations by the power of the Holy Spirit, many Haitians came into a right relationship with God after seeing, hearing and understanding how Jesus bridged the uncrossable gap between our own human sinfulness and God's eternal and loving perfection.  The Christensens are now equipping churches, children's ministries, youth groups, schools, missionaries, NGOs, recovery groups, private groups and other interested parties with this incredibly effective tool.
